Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the rear brake calipers on an FXR are put together? My brake pads were very loose in the caliper and when I took it off this spring wire was in there. I can't figure out where it goes.

 

there are two holes on the inner side of the caliper bracket assembly, it goes in the two holes, then over the outer pad( the one on the piston side)

I'm not sure that they will answer that particular question, but there are on-line parts websites with exploded diagrams for your bike, which I routinely use. I prefer this one.
