Super easy question - turn signals
I know this isnt the help forum for electrical problems, I just have a super easy question for anyone with a 93-94 FLH.
When you turn the key on only, engine NOT running, if you hit the button for one of the turn signals do they flash? or do you have to start the engine?
Im not sure if I am losing it, or chasing an electrical gremlin. The answer to that question will help.
Thanks

I don't know about an FLH but my '95 FLSTC does operate the turn signals from the lights position. (first click)
BTW the guys can help you with any problem you have with your bike.
From electrical to help me I ****ed up what ever you got someone here can help.

Thanks Tex... I was sure my FLH DID too but i was beginning to doubt my memory... so now i do have a gremlin to chase, after changing my rear tire after sturgis my turn signals will only work with the engine running, and i dont want to smoke the signal module because I have a wiring problem

I have a 94 FLHTCU and was having something similar. See if this is what it is doing.
Turning the key one position to "ON" and everything is lit up and ready to start. Push either signal button and you would not get a turn signal flashing. Occasionally I could hear a clicking from the rear speaker pods when pushing in the button, but not always.
Sometimes it took multiple button pushes for the signals to work even when it was running after a year or so. I had swapped bars and extended the wiring and thought I had FUBAR'd it up, so I went and swapped out switches and wiring extensions and still had the same problem occasionally.
Then it just quit working and I put in a new turn signal module.
PROBLEM SOLVED!! Worked perfectly every time. I even had the fairing off and swapped in the old switches at the connectors and they worked perfectly (of course) so I now have spares.
Try swapping out a known good module and see if that does it.. Mine was mounted on the right side tube between the trees and can be removed/installed from the rear of the fairing.
