Default Old pan siren

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience with putting an old 58 police siren on an heritage('96)
Supposedly they were made for the rigid frame.
But I guess with a little TLC they will fit a softail...
Any advice welcome.
Thanks from overseas.
Stan

Deciding where to put it and fabricating a bracket to mount it would be the first things I would decide. The biggest obstacle would be be converting it from 6 volt to 12 volt. (I believe in '58 they were still 6 volt)

I recall those old sirens had a roller that rode against the rear tire. The rear tire spun the siren. The officer controlled the pitch by engaging/disengaging the siren so the pitch would rise and fall. Wooooooooooo Wooooooooooo!
