True, I was hoping to get it for a better price but dont think it's a bad price and i didn't see any others for the amount I have saved so far but it will also save me and some of that I can use to add what I want to it.
This will be my first Harley thou so I will get the fun of setting it up for me.

5k is the "body" of the transaction
1k is the profit
500 is extra profit

If you offer less than 5k, probably you risk to lose a friend.
Maybe he can think about to lose the "extra profit" which represents a bounch of peanuts considering the worth of his cars.

Deal 6.000 $ and 1 brand new broom with an HD sticker over

If you like the bike then $6,500 is a good deal based on miles and condition.
Just about any big twin harley with a clean title that has some visual appeal goes for $5,000 as the bottom floor price minimum.
No need to beat the individual on the price.

Unfortunately the wife has been real sick and was in the hospital.
I have spoken to him and he said its there waiting for me, we are making plans this next
week to get up to his hanger to get it. He said don't worry he hasn't advertised it in over
a year.

Sorry to hear about your wife being sick. I hope it's nothing too serious.
Sounds to me like the old fellow feels good about you getting the bike, so congrats on what sounds like a pretty much done deal. Keep us posted.

Thanks, wife is doing better now and work has seemed to settle down a bit
since adding a new branch for the type of work we do.
So I called him up early in the week and left a voice mail asking him to call
me so we could meet up, I followed up with a text and later that night and
he gets back to me saying I'm on vacation call me when I get back on Oct.
10th when I get back and we can set the time up for you to get it. Well here
is to 3 weeks of waiting now.

At least it sounds like ya got a done deal. With him on vacation it shouldn't be any chance of someone buying it out from under you. He sounds to be a good fella

Had I been closer and not already have 2 bike I might have given you a run on buying it. I did have 3 not long ago

Oct 10 uh Yea that's gotta be a tough wait

Congrats WP
