Ok. so ... new coil replaced because it did this before , we can eliminate the ign. modual as it would provide no spark at all unless a bad connector.
Go to spark plugs first , then check for voltage leakage at plug wires in a dark room to check for leaking spark.
Check all signal wire connections to coils for looseness etc.
Use a cheap spark plug testor to check for proper spark at the offending cylinder . Come back with results.

I couldn't find anything so i took it to my independent.. We shall see what he finds.. Thanks for all the replies

I can't speak for an EVO but everytime my ironhead would run on one cylinder it was always that durn rear exhaust pushrod adjustment.

is it possible a bad speedometer could cause these symptoms? my speedo went bad around the same time. my year bike sucks to try and find a speedo...lol. we are gonna give it a shot because everything else is testing out ok

No, not the speedo. And, ahhh... if your indy is suggesting the speedo is causing the rear cylinder to miss, ah... it's time to find a new indy.

When the bike is missing, that's when you need to diagnose it. Did you ever check the compression? Did you ever check for spark? Did you ever replace the rear spark plug? Did you swap the plug wires at the coil?

And the mis was because of??..... NOT from the speedometer, that's a fact!

it ended up being the coil all along. runs like a raped ape! thnaks for all the help.
