leather….. and to 'water proof' those bags…. you can spray with some 'water repellant' and then inside the bag, put your clothes into a waterproof bag (like is used for the beach.. and sold at sports centers). At least… that is what I do. And yes; ditch the dark…..

leather has my vote work some sno seal into them regularly and everything in them will always be dry

While many still look good there are alot fake ones there
