Is there anyone on here that builds tranny's for my bike that ships product for a reasonable price?
What's your definition of "reasonable"?
I see rebuilt units selling for $1400 ish. You could probably get a salvage yard lump (of unknown history) for something like half that. Or you could spend something like twice that and get a Baker.
i have guys with 200,000 miles on evo crusers and the gears are in good shape
he has omitted why he needs a trans and even what the issue really is with it - they only do a couple of things and are more reapirable then even the motor
A new 4 speed from us is $2995.00, late 84 bikes had a longer mainshaft. Do you have a diaphragm style clutch or a coil spring style ? That will determine which length mainshaft you have. Another option is Billy down at B& B racing in Louisiana can rebuild your existing trans for you.Billy's number is 504-833-0832
