Default Exhaust wrap

Well I just put exhaust wrap over my soon to be father in law shovel head name clover ( name come come from. You be luck come back with all your parts lol). From my point of view and burning my leg with out the wrap on it a night and day difference. You can't grab it but but touching it like I did with my leg does not burn flesh. So long story short I'm going to be putting this on my springer

I can see the benefit for evo rider running drag pipes

Those look cool, but thermodynamics is still the law and the heat that isn't migrating out the side of the pipe is going somewhere else.

From an old drag racer's perspective, the hotter you can keep the exhaust gases, the easier it flows out the exhaust. We always wrapped the headers on our drag bikes, but stainless steel exhaust may crack under the wrapping.

Also a lesson I learned from doing this. If you are wearing shorts put bug spray on so you don't scratch your legs well wearing gloves lol

the best thing to use when wrapping pipes is hair spray it keeps the glass from digging into your skin. and always use a 1" wrap it looks better and is easier to install.
