I'm thinking of buying these Khrome Werks mufflers: http://www.khromewerks.com/3-inch-HP...1029-1140.html

However no dealers in England have them in stock for me to inspect. They want me to first buy them!

Is the non-EPA label/notice a sticker, or is it imprinted into the metal? (on these or any similar Khrome Werks mufflers)

Please can someone post a photo of the non-EPA label/notice?

I've asked manufacturers / distributors / dealers but I can't get a clear answer.

 

Most aftermarket mufflers are NOT legal, and as such will have no special markings...

Legal aftermarkets, like Screamin' Eagles, have the EPA 'guarantee' stamped into the bottomside of the mufflers...

 

Here is a photo of the thin metal non-EPA sticker.

It came off in pieces quite easily with help from a trimming knife blade.

Cleaned off the glue with cellulose thinners followed by lighter fluid.

Not removing the sticker would probably mean failing the motorcycle roadworthy test in England (which does not include sound level test or emissions test).

Mufflers were easy to fit.

Sound level has increased by 3-4 dB on my meter. Oh, and did I say the sound is nicer.
