Have VH true duels looking for some quieter mufflers. Like to listen to stereo on long trips. Something just a little deeper than stock. Running 4 in cobras now.

 

Well first unless your neck is very long you can't get your ears near the pipes. I run Rush big louies with 3" baffles yes it will rumble the way I like it I can hear the radio good. I did have 2.25 baffles at one time good sound,maybe your are looking for something less so try the 1.75 you may like them.

 

First issue is the true duals, they will be louder than 2-1-2 Power Dual type headers every time. SuperTrapp mufflers will be the quietest you can get. They can be adjusted to your satisfaction with discs.

 

Try turning the music up.

 

I have Samson 35" --4" pipes with Decibel killer baffles. Chrome is flawless and the sound is very good, and not all that loud at cruising speed. Nice rumble when you crack the throttle, but settles down when you want it too.
