Default Vance and Hines ?'s

I have a 2014 iron 883
im looking at purchasing the Vance and Hines short shot exhaust

Do i have to tune the bike when i install them. Or are they tuned high enough to where you wont run to lean?

Your AFR will change with installing a new exhaust. I would suggest to get your bike tuned to get the full benefit of the exhaust you put on. You also want to be safe by not running your engine not to lean or to rich.

Not really an answer but I plan to put on V&H big shots on a 2015 Street bob next month and will be getting the fuelpak fp3 and do it myself at same time. From what I've read the reviews seem to be good.

I am under the impression you can change the pipes without having a tune. The tune comes into play when you change the air intake. Someone please correct me if I'm wromg on this please.

That is the general consensus from everything I have read here.
But I think you will find the bike will run much better with a tune then without. So you probably don't need it, but I would get a tuner if I were in your shoes. Just my $.02.

ps. I got the fp3 and highly recommend because it is so easy to use.

Ok. Then with all that said and done.
For loud yet aggressive exhaust sound

Vance and hines
guerilla
basani

Or any other aggressive looking exhaust systems out there that would catch eyes, turn heads, and save my life as well as be efficient for the bike itself
