Removing Cat

The cat is in the area where the headers come together..you can run a tape measure into the front header and the right exhaust end to gauge where it is. The cat is a metal foil type material that is bonded somehow to the pipe, and it takes some digging to pull it loose. You won't see much(if any) in the way of power gains, but the bike will run MUCH cooler.

Cat gutting tools?
What tools do most use for cutting the pipe and extracting the cat.
Was going to have a friend do it all and he mentioned welding chromalloy is a pita and it would likely cost at least 120. I had thought Oem pipes were stainless steel. At that price I'll put the cash towards a set of power duals.

My buddy has a welding shop. He tig welded mine up in about 20min. I would've done it myself at work but they frown on us using the shop for our own use.
