I have a 2016 flhxs. I removed the factory air cleaner and installed the screaming eagle billet cut back black intake. Tested the bike after the install and it started. I then installed a thunder header 2 into 1 exhaust. After the exhaust install, the bike will not start and displays the oil light on the dash. it almost acts like the battery does not have enough juice to start the bike. Has anyone else ran into this issue or can anyone tell me the possible cause of the bike not starting? Any suggestions for where to begin trouble shooting? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

 

Don't know why it wont start, maybe you knocked a wire or something. I do know it will never be right without a tuner of some kind. I use a power commander 5 there are others. Then you need to get it Dyno tuned.

 

Re trace your steps from the beginning of the install to the end, but broaden your scope to examine all of the other components in the surrounding area of your work-it sounds electrical, so I would keep an eye out for damaged/disconnected wiring.
I'm surprised, by some of the things I've missed while re-checking my work. Pinched wires, loose clamps, etc

 

I have the screaming eagle racing tuner that I'm going to use to tune it. It's the same setup I was running on my 2014 flhx. I'll take another look at the wires and make sure nothing else is loose. Thanks for the help.
