Default What to do - keep 2 to 2 or go 2 to 1

Just picked up a 2015 Road Glide Special last week... Plan to start a separate thread for the bike specifically. Motor has stock internals. SE Intake, FP3 Tuner, and Cobra Race Pro slip-ons with stock head pipes. Would like to give the bike a bit better sound while not sacrificing performance.

Which would you do:

1) Keep Cobra slip-ons and add true dual head pipes $500
2) Replace current setup with 2 into 1 (Ex: V&H Pro Pipe) $725
3) Leave it as is and spend $ elsewhere.

Very nice! That bike is ready to roll. I would go with full exhaust system. Either one, cobra or V&H. Good luck

When you say full system, are you suggesting staying with 2 into 2 or going 2 into 1?

Thanks.

I have read a few different threads/discussions on Fat Cat vs Pro Pipe. What is your reasoning for Fat Cat? Thanks

I think it comes down to preference. Maybe you get a bit more grunt from a 2-1 but I prefer the looks of a 2-2 exhaust. Either way, you have a very nice looking scoot that will sound accordingly. Keep rolling!

#1.Fit and Finish is second to none. The same can't be said about the Pro-Pipe.
#2.Proven to make more horsepower and torque than the Pro-Pipe.
#3.Customer service exceeds V&H's by a long shot.

Bike looks great as it is now. True duals or any V&h pipes are not going to optimise performance. If it was me I'd either change the headers over to fullsac or something similar, or the d&d 2-1 pipe as suggested above. Or simply keep it as is.

Okay... I'm leaning toward keeping the Cobras and switching out head pipes. I've noticed there are a few different options.

1) Fullsac DX or Sportpipe ?? Which one?
2) Cobra Powerport Pipes
3) Other better option ?

What do you guys suggest now that I have narrowed down to this? Thanks!

"IF" you are going to purchase a exhaust that you want to "grow with" regarding Fullsac. I recommend the "D" X-Pipe. Proven, reliable, performance!

I am a fan of Fullsac products and have been since 2009!

Just recently, I added a Drago's Dracula II 2-1 pipe with a ghost pipe. I am pretty impressed with it so far, works very well with my set up.
