Default Super G to Mikuni 45 or 48

Has anyone done this conversion?If so,what do you have to say.I have a Super G with a ThunderJet,on a 124",picked up a 45mm Mikuni,because of the claimed better off idle performance.

The Mikuni IShands down a MUCH better carb than the 'G'.....much better!!! The 45 has 5 fuel circuits vs. the 'G' that has 2 fuel circuits and believe me when I say the Thunderjet doesn't add another circuit, it just adds fuel to the top end rpm range by the use of engine intake track pulse waves.

So what are the 5 circuits?
&nbsp\\;
The only thing the mik has over the G is that the needle. The mic don't even have an emulsion tube or air bleed. Not sure why you don't consider the Tjet as an extra circuit.. Never messed with the power circuit on an Holley?&nbsp\\; A well tuned G can give you a nice flat AF at WOT. What it can't do as well as a mik is proved a flat AF at partial throttle. It's typically a little rough..
&nbsp\\;
Heck I can think of 5 tuning circuits on a G. 7 if you want to get creative an not even talking about the accelerator pump.

Well you have low speed, needle, main an a adjustable accel pump ( when it squirts and how long) compared to a S&amp\\;S the MIK is a Rolex vs a timex&nbsp\\; LOL . The S&amp\\;S is a rather limited carb, even with a thunder jet and a extrenal air bleed. They can be made to work but do require more money and tuning to get them spot on. Once that is done they tend to not have as good of fuel milage. That may or may not be a concern of yours.&nbsp\\; Have you looked at the PSI carb?? You could use your old intake manifold and bolt on the new carb.&nbsp\\; They offer some great features they are pricey though.&nbsp\\; If throttle response is what you are looking for it is razor sharp. They are a extrenaly jetted carb.
