Default 103" and cams?

I have a 2007 Steet glide and I want to buy a 103" kit with cams but I'm not sure on which kit to buy and what cams to purchase(chain or gear drive). I'm looking at Harleys jug and piston kit with andrews 37b cams. Does this sound like a good setup to get into the 90hp range or not? I have Rinehardt duals with pcIII tuner and screamin air cleaner. If anyone knows where I can get the best bang for the buck for this?

You will be better off with your barrels or OE barrels bored.
the 37s are smallish for the 103.

try Head-QuartersUSA.com for help, they now have a build your bike section!
Just be honest with your gas and riding style, and you will go to the right place.

It's not hard to get into the 90 range with that engine even with 96". The RR525 cams we use will do it, with the 96" and a little head work with that cam you will be close to 110. With 103 and that cam without head work the 100 range. These are gear cams, if you want chain drive we will have the new Andrews 54 in about a week- same deal on power.

Are you guys saying not to go to the 103" kit and just put cams in it? Or should I do the cams and new heads?

If ya can swing it, get cams, have your heads done and bore YOUR cylinders to 3.875" for the 103! Bore is cheaper than buying new and, properly done, is MUCH more precise than mass production stuff...

I looked at headquaters and the prices were over my budget. It looked like they only sold one type of camshaft on that page. If I remove my cylinders can I send them to them to have them bored out and my stock heads ported instead of buying thiers and exchanging mine? That would be much cheaper for me! How long would it take for turnaround time on this?

here turn around is pretty good, 2 weeks max, and for the cams, the 3 most popular are the TC 500 bolt in, or the 0039 for most heavy baggers/touring, and the .575s for sport/touing, (I use these and love them)! They cover 90% of riding applications. Unless I go full dragster ill never need to buy another cam from any manufacture!
