CV Carb with Thunderslide
I have a 2004 Night Train carbed. I am running the round Screamin' Eagle air filter (blue) and Vance and Hines pro Pipe (2 into 1) and a Dynojet Thunderslide kit. Per the instructions, I left the Pilot jet stock and am running the needle clip on the 4th groove from top. In addition, I went with a 185 main. The bike runs pretty good but the plugs look a little too clean to me. has anyone ran their needle on the 5th groove or used a bigger main (190?) or ran the Thunderslide kit with a bigger pilot jet (contrary to what the instructions say). We have pretty good air; my elevation here in east texas is about 450 ft. above sea level. Bike is stock otherwise.
Thanks!

RE: CV Carb with Thunderslide
Is the carb popping or the is popping through the pipes. If not It sounds like you are okay. But a little rich is better then lean. Take it to someone whocan run a dyno ( good )with a air fuel meter. to see what the a/f is doing under load the rpm/speed curve. Or should I say have someone tune it that knows what they are doing.
