No, I'm afraid this is a constant, they just sell needles. It would be best if you drilled it in a lathe or better yet use a reamer. You might check your local machine shop and see if they can do it for you.

My old slide was plastic with a couple of holes other than the needle hole in it. The new one I got the other day that I drilled out only had the one hole other than needle hole wonder why and whats the difference ??

that sounds like a DJ thunderslide kit has been installed at one time or another...
did you use the slide spring that was in with the plastic slide? if so, it won't work with your new slide very good, what needle do you have?

it's a 80" Evo right? I would put EVERYTHING back to STOCK; Needle, UN-DRILLED slide, (I think you screwed up by drilling it) slide spring, emulsion tube, genuine Keihin jets, (45 slo,185 main) and make sure the needle jet (on top of the E-tube) is not upside down, very easy to do.
then make sure the float height is correct, 2 turns out on the mix screw and I'd bet you would be very close, as long as there are no intake leaks....
my set-up is; stock (un-drilled) slide & spring, N8EA needle w/1 shim, 48 slo, 195 main, 2 turns on mix screw. this is on a '06 95" twincam, with cams, K&N, pipes, zippers ign., etc.
I have no coughing, backfiring, etc. etc. I gave it what it seemed to want and it runs very good.....

I was going to replace the carb with an S&S E or a Mikuni but neither would work with the cruse control which comes in nice on the long rides. So ordered a stage 1 upgrade from Johns Motor Cycle parts and the EZ-Just mixture screw. Put them in today and have to finish re installing the carb in the morning. The bike has the Screaming Eagle Ignition Mod, K&N breather and modified stock mufflers. When doing the install today I noticed that there was burnt/black area in the Upper slide chamber area (from the popping back). when I changed out the pilot jet it had a # 48 in it I replaced it with a #46 the Main jet was a 185 which I replaced with the new one of the same size. Any ideas or suggetions, I'm all ears ??
What altitude are you using that bike generally ?
