Default Cam Quandry

09 Fat Bob with an SE intake, V&H short shots and a V&H Fuel Pack. Eventually want to do cams as well (and stop there.) My dealer tells me anything but the 203 will void the warrantly. Ideally I'd like to go with either a 204, Woods or Andrews and a PC from Fuel Moto. So assuming the dealer is correct, how much would I be giving up by going with the 203 over the other options? I may just wait for the warranty to expire and do whatever I darn well want at that point.

well, the warrenty only lasts 2 years, it will be out before you know it!

an aftermarket cam like the Andrews 26, Head-quarters TC 500 will make more cylinder presure VS the SE cam, and therefore will make more torque when tuned properly.

upwards of 100 lbs 20 to 25 more that stock!

Doesn't the dealer trust it's own work?

They claim anything other then the 203 is a "race" cam and will void the warranty.

Time to do some dealer shopping
The SE255 is part of the only "street legal" 09 model year performance package AFAIK.

+1, time to go dealer shoping because they are not the sharpest pencil in the box. If the dealer was to put the 203 cams in it could void the warranty. Another twist is I believe the only way not to impact the warranty is for the complete Stage 2 kit to be installed.

Thats a good plan. Find a good indy that is a stand up guy that backs his work! They are out there, sometimes hard to find though.
