if you want to whack it hard at low speed, the crank needs to be addressed...i have an '08 dyna 110" with 115hp/115tq sae...14k miles and no issues on the stock bottom end...but i don't shock load the drivetrain...if i had a 96" bike, i'd go 107" or jump to at least 120" with a stroker crank (welded of course)

Whacking it hard has always been my thing ever since high school as a matter of fact. And of course my crank needs to be welded. I'm an expert welder. I once welded the crack of dawn back together. I tigged a broken heart together. If you can jump across it, I can fill the gap. Problem is, I don't know what needs to be welded here, of course.

We put 2 stitches on the crank pin/wheel seam, from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock, and from 7-5 o'clock on both sides. It ain't movin' then.

I'm a motor head newbie...so this is a new process for me. Been riding for 18 years, mostly sport bikes, got the FXDC in 2007, never looked back.

Bike is currently mechanically Bone Stock except for some SE slip ons. Going with a PCV and SE stage one in a few weeks, unless steared otherwise here.

Ok now to my build questions:

Which build would be better suited to my expectations the 107, or 113, or other?

I ride solo 95 percent of the time.
I want the power for street riding, where it is used daily, not in the high rpms. I want a reliable build above all. I would like to get somewhere near 110-115 tq and 110-115 hp.

What is the easiest way for me to get this accomplished?

What would the cost of something like this be? I am turning the big 40 soon and this engine upgrade will be my present to myself...=)

I have noticed Hillside in NY being recommended highly here on the forum. I live about 350 miles from them so they sound like a possible place to get the work done.

Thanks much for any and all info.

Cheers,

Tom
Go as big as your pockets can afford!!! 113 is a nice motor!!!

yes he did -- it's over kill -- extremely fun -- having the opportunity to do it all over again I would not go above 124 --
