Default 98" hillside build

I called Hillside back in March and talked with Scott to see what he can do with my 06 Fatboy. I already had 95" se251 cams 10.25 comp v&h bss & dougherty a/c had 91 tq 90hp.

He told me he could do a 98" woods8g stageIII using Wiseco pistons said I could expect around 110tq or so mainly depends on pipe. After a little thought I took bike up and let him work his magic.

He called me after bike was run on dyno and advised me tq was really low and said he felt as if the pipe was choking engine.I told him I had Big City Thunder baffles QQ baffles in . He pulled them out and cut the cone off re-installed and tq jumped 20.

The bike was then sent up to Joes cylce for tuning. Joe said he could get a lot more out of the build with a 2 into1 exhaust.I just couldn't do it.It's a personal thing I'm not thrilled with look or sound of them but I do know they perform.
Anyway he tried long shots on but they were worse than the BSS pipes.Ended up with 113Tq 115hp. I'm very happy with results the bike does have a dip in the 25-35 range but past that it doesn't stop pulling and man it pulls.

Scott told me you'll probably pick the front tire with a aggressive 1-2 shift and I was riding 2 up and was getting it a bit and and no sh*t pulled that thing right up ,hard too.I love it

All I can say is Scott and Joe are both first class guys to deal with, they took their time in trying to find what I wanted told me the ups and downs of pipe choices and did a excellent job in the build and tune.

I don't think he has tried, he is a little more reserved in his riding. He enjoys the roll on power. I took the BSS pipes off and put my screaming eagle 16ga pipes on & they made a big difference in the low end with out giving much up in the top.

I took the baffle you cut and put it in that pipe, that is the only baffle in the pipe so its basically the same but that pipes cross over chamber is 4 times larger than the BSS and I think thats the difference.

Don't know if I really need a re-tune runs great.Sounds awesome

Thanks Again Scott

Joe,
Was wondering what the fuel economy was like now??
Your 8 cam builds, are very similar to the build we are currently doing for American Iron Magazine. We are using the 9B in the bike they brought in.

Scott,I really haven't checked it yet I'm hoping I have some time to ride this weekend and I will let you know. I have been just using it around town and under heavy acceleration at times if you know what I mean.

Hey Scott
Got a chance to do a little riding this weekend and got a accurate fuel milage. Riding was 20% hiway 70mph/ 70% winding country roads and 10% in town.Hows 46 mpg sound, I thought that was decent.I had a kawasaki 1000 that got 50mpg and I thought that was pretty good and my fatboy is a couple hundred pounds heavier and a much bigger engine
