Have any of you checked out the new 120R crate engine? Very different for H-D to put out a crate engine that will, reportedly develop 135-145 rwhp and directly bolt in to an existing frame for a very reasonable price; way cheaper than building one. 4.060" x 4.625 should make some serious torque. I must admit it probably needs a crank work and maybe a Timken but very interesting piece of hardware, particularly when price is factored in. A little out of the box for the MoCo but probably a pretty smart move. Unfortunately, won't fit in either of my bikes; for the '06 and later softails, 06 and later dynas and '07 and later touring models.

Warranty? Probably at the home dealer only if at all; 120R = 120 Race. Check it out.

That does have a good exhaust note to it.
Betcha' that they have the ccp laid back. Maybe not.
The new(2011) connecting rods will not have wrist pin bushings, cam plate bush is mia, breathers in the heads are re-designed, and thought I saw the fact that there was something with the main bearing races.
Certainly not the end of the world, but makes one scratch their head.

Sounds disposable to me. I have learned enough in the past few weeks to just buy used and build it up. Sounds like most everything has enough flaws right out of the box.

If I was going to do a big build like that I think I would just get one and stick it in. I heard they have the timkins, lefty bearing, the older style crank w/bushings, stronger cases and more .you get a lot for the money it seems

Attached is a graph of one that had some work.

Out of the crate and bolted in they're doing 1.01 to 1.05 TQ per cube SAE.
Out of the crate with the supplied SE266 cam brings on the power a little far to the right for some.

A friend recently had one put in his bagger. 128/135 with SE 58, intake, heavy breather, Thunderheader. The thing rocks!!
