will 88 ci heads work with 95ci pistons & cylenders ??? i just installed a thunderheader & se 211 cams now question is buld a good set of 88ci heads from stock heads & leave 88inches or buy 10.25.1 1550 pistons & boar stock jugs if i do this can i use the 88 ci heads .

I have built several 211 cam, stock heads, 1550 SE cast compression pistons and SE slip on muffler combinations that make 101 tq and 92 hp
good headwork will get you higher HP and a longer power band, overflowing the heads will be a dissapointment.

 

There is no 95ci heads. Stock heads used on 88ci engines can be used after adding big bore cylinders (95ci). Porting the stock 88ci heads will help them perform better especially in a 95ci engine configuration. The SE-211 cams like increase compression and work well with 10.25:1 SE High Compression Cast Pistons. Boring your cylinders to 95ci is more cost effective and is actually preferred over buying SE 95ci cylinders.
