Default anyone happy with the SE-203?

Just curious.

When I was researching what cams to install in my '06 tc88, I read through alot of threads here on the different choice folks made. I saw alot of "203 bashing"

Anyone actually happy with the choice? What are your thought on the SE-203 or SE-204 for that matter.

Andrews 21 or 26 would be a better choice. The SE204 installed with a 4* advance gear would be a good fit as well. I ran 204s in a 95" Deuceand my brother ran the 203s in his Dyna; he couldn't stay close. I did have some headwork done but that doesn't completely explain the bike lengths between us after going through four gears. Ifyou were installing either the 204 or the 203 straight up, IMHO, the204 would be the better choice.

I am installing the Andrews TW26A's this weekend. just curious who out there is running the SE-203's and why they think of them. Lots of comments about them but not many comments from actual experience.

Can't wait to see what the tensioners look like after 27K. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

Hope I'm not on here too much this weekend - that means I ran into trouble or have left over pieces which is usually the case with me.

They were in my bike when I got it. 95in w/ 203's. Was waaay soft with a set of SE pipes and filter. I swapped a t-header and the Ness big sucker and it helped alot. Bike ran fine but ran out of steam right about 5k. Just nothing left up there. Sounds like you got it covered anyways with those Andrews.

Just put 203's and a cam plate in my 05 Road King. Took it for the first ride yesterday. I was happy with the performance. Didn't want anything bigger. Already had stage 1 download, air filter and Rhinehart true duals. The cams did just what I read they would do. Deeper sound little lope on idle (sounds more like a Harley now) has more power low and mid throttle. 99% of my riding is two up packed and traveling so the 203 cams seemed like the ones. Next winter I'll do the 95 upgrade and those are the cams that are in the big bore kit from Harley. From what I've read you have to decide what type of riding you'll be doing and what you want in performance and future upgrades, then decide which cams will work the best for you. Just my 2 cents worth.

Many cams out there that qualify for a very good gain.
The 203's just ain't on that list, but they are, better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I've never been fond of the 203 cams, but they are considerably better than stock. One of my riding buddies has them in a 95" deuce with a SE air cleaner and pro pipe, and it actually pulls quite a bit harder than I would have thought. In a stock 88, though, I think I'd probably run the Andrews 21.

I run them in my 03 95" Road King. I have a ness big sucker and V&H Propipe, PcIII dialed in nice I am very happy! It really does depend on riding style though. It pulls like a freight train down low but it's all done by about 4500 rpm's. If you're looking for top end HP, look some more.

I like them a lot more now that they're in a box in my garage along with the chainset...
