Default to much pipe for a T111?

I'm about to switch motors on my 06 SG (carb'ed) from a 131 to a S&S T111 currently have a Boarzilla with standard baffle; will this be to much pipe for a 111?

I guess I could go to S&S and see but too lazy this morning.

I think that depende on the T111.
Heads and cams.

Are the heads capable of flowing and is the exhaust exit 1 7/8?
Are the Cams pretty agressive. Not so much long duration but high lift (0.650 area) and at least 40-44 Intake closing.

Since S&S I figure maybe but check exhaust exit size.

In a borderlind area.
Not size but engine capability type of thing.

motor info here:

The new T111 is a “square” motor with a slightly larger 4-1/8″ bore and a moderate 4-1/8″ stroke which yields 111 in³ displacement
• Since it is not as tall as our T124, the T111 engine easily fits in the stock frame

• This engine is designed to be torquey and smooth, and is a direct replacement for the H-D Twin Cam 88

• With the S&S IST ignition or knock-sensing Variable Fuel-Injection module, and a moderate compression ratio of 9.8:1, T111 engines are pretty tolerant of the occasional tank of substandard gasoline

• 4-1/8″ stroke not only keeps mechanical noise down, but contributes to long engine life as well

• To keep valve train noise to a minimum, the T111 comes with S&S low mass, single coil, Sidewinder valve springs and 585 cams

• Due to the moderate lift of these cams, we were able to use our non-roller rocker arms, which also make a contribution to noise reduction

• T-Series engines is that natural finished engines have been replaced by engines with a durable, stock-like silver powdercoat finish

The new T111 is a powerful yet quiet engine perfect for touring riders. A practical stroke, less aggressive touring cam, and nearly silent valve train create a torquey, smooth power band – making your bike a pleasure to ride for long distances.

Installs easily into stock frames, “Square” motor configuration (equal bore and stroke) produces excellent torque, greatly increases engine life, and reduces mechanical engine noise

Lower cost and superior engine life. More Info

Borzilla may be overkill for this motor.

I agree, The Borzilla is most likey too much pipe, possibly hurting low end performance.

You already have the pipe, I would just run it and see. They are pretty easy to install and remove. If your low end is really lacking with the Borzilla, you could try a set of torque cones in the flange of the pipes to reduce the dia to 1.75

after almost two years came to the conclusion the 131 was a bit too much motor for going out of state -- nice at bike nite and ripping around town but it's a bit like my Tundra can't past a gas station---

As Just Enough said. You already got it.
The torque cone might help.
Fuel Injection can force things to work that a Carb just can't do. Specially where there is low flow. Or low RPM.

Thing is the borzilla has 17/8 inlets that a torque cone might help. But---

Then it has long 2in. primaries dumping into a big mufler. Long primaries will help torque. Hard to get the pipes pumping maybe.

Might be able to push past the low end, then once going, the flow will be enough to make 2in. primaries work.

An interesting tunning challenge. Not to be made light of.

Let us know because I have a Borzilla in my thoughts for me.

Going to change the pipe out to a Supertrapp supermeg or Vance and Hines Pro Pipe -- any thoughts about the 2?

Also will have a Boarzilla for sale in a couple of weeks -- the front heat shields has a 3 / 4 inch discolorized spot from a towel and me cleaning with easy off--
