Default idle adjustment on fuel injected twin cam

its a rookie question i know since ive had a carburated bike in the past and understand the adjustments there but i have an 08 crossbones that is stock with samson fishtails (slight popping on deceleration, no biggie) but i feel like its idling a little high. im guessing it would have to be done by a tech or remapping with a fuel tuner. any input is appreciated.

Is the bike bone stock, or have you changed any other parameters...air cleaner, etc? I know that occasionally my bike will idle a little high when it is first started, even when warm, but then drop down a bit.

ON FI, if you take it to Harley they won't touch the idle saying thats the way it suppose to be. MY manual even mentioned the higher rpm is normal idle. They want a faster idle on FI bikes. About 1100 rpm..Mine was there when new 10yrs ago. I see it idle now around 1000- 1050 when warmed up.

its completely stock except for samson fishtail exhaust. the idle /rpm does drop once warm but still seems high to me. i figure its an 02 sensor emmissions setting. o well. thanks for the input.

The FI idle is high. Higher than I like it. Sounds better idling lower like a carb bike..We have to live with it..When all the other late model bikes are idling like that around you, its all good..

Can't make a F.I. Harley idle slow enough to say "potato, potato, potato".

2 reasons it won't do that: FI won't let it and the full HD sound you are speaking of requires dual fire ignition, which they don't use any more.

Dang, I misspelled idle. Corrected it in my post but was quoted twice. Anyhow, my previous Harley was a 2005 with a carb. I miss the potato, potato idle but really like F.I., no enricher or cut off valve to fool with.
