Default Smith Bros Pushrods

I bought some Smith Bros pushrods, after I received them I realized they were not ez install. With these do I need to remove the tank drop them in and still adjust them, seems easier to just get ez install or non adjustables if I still have to remove the tank. Does anybody have any experience with these? Thanks

They are EZ install. No tank or rocker box removal required. Make sure they are collapsed before installing them in the tubes. I noticed that you have a 2006. I put mine in a 2009, so maybe a difference. Give them a call to clarify.

Smith Brothers makes an EZ install (not quick install) push rod and if that is what you ordered, that is what you have. You should have received instructions; did the instructions included tank removal?

If you have the SB EZ installs, you first have to get the lifter on the heel of the cam (lowest lifter position), then remove the bottom section of the pushrod that drops into the lifter; then you have to thread the adjustor all the way back up into the top section of the pushrod to gain enough clearance to swing the top section in over the bottom section; then you have to thread the adjustor all the way into the lower section until it bottoms out; then you are ready to adjust.

If you did not receive instructions, call SB and have them send you some. If that doesn't work, PM me. I think I have a set of the instructions in my files.
