Default Help make a 2007 Screaming Eagle Springer perform

I'm trying to get the best and latest info from all you smart folks - for equipping my 2007 FXSTS-Screaming Eagle.
I have seen a lot of ideas batted around on the posts here, and many of you have experience with the Screaming Eagle Bikes.
I have owned and been wrenching on Harley's for years, but the CVO bikes are something new to me.
I would rather not go through all of the trial and error learning about this new bike.

3 big areas of Questions:
1. AIR CLEANER - I thought the 2007 FXSTSSE is supposed to be already equipped with a free flowing air cleaner.
Does it still need the Screaming Eagle Pro Air Cleaner and Breather Kit 29440-99D ?
Will the CVO 110 breather cover fit with the SE AC if it is needed ?

2. FUEL CONTROL/RACE TUNER - Is just remapping the Fuel Control to a new curve by the Dealer enough ?
- OR - do you need to go all the way to the 32107-01F Screaming Eagle Pro EFI Race Tuner ?
- OR - is the 32136-06A Screaming Eagle Pro EFI Race Fueler enough ?

3. EXHAUST - The 2007 Screaming Eagle Race Catalog's ONLY recommendation for the FXSTS-SE 110ci on the Screaming Eagle EFI Performance Configuration pages (pg21) is a Free Flowing Exhaust.
Is it better to change to the SE Street Performance Slip-on's 80497-07 ?
- OR - just remove and modify (or replace) the stock baffles that are in the stock mufflers ?
(they are easy to remove - I took mine out in about 5 minutes today)

I appreciate any and all replies and info.
Does anyone have any better combinations for the FXSTSSE?
Thanks a bunch,
Mike

Default RE: Help make a 2007 Screaming Eagle Springer perform

Mike, I rode one of these at a recent HD demo day and was very disappointed at how it ran. Below ~4500RPM, my mildly modded RG would smoke it. Above 4500, it was recpectable.

I left wondering about this. I can't help but believe that a good 2 into 1 exhaust (FatCat / SuperTrapp), decent air filter setup, a tuning device (SERT / PCIII), and a dyno tune would really wake it up.

I don;t know what cam they come with, but surely there's a bunch more in it (as is), if you can get it to breath and tune properly....

I'd love to hear how this turns out!

Good luck!
