Default 95" high comp pistons

My road king has SE high comp pistons (pn 22661-99). Can anyone tell me what compression ratio they would give with stock heads, and what would be the lowest performance cams recommended for use with them?

They are 10.25:1 compression pistons as long as your heads have not been milled. I can't help you with cams for sure, but I'll throw out maybe SE-211 cams?

Thanks. I've got V&H Pro Pipe 2in1 and an Andrews tw50 cam in the bike now. Any suggestions for a cam that will work with those pistons and the stock exhaust w/slipons?

I ride mostly around town and back and forth to work at all hours of the day, and I'm trying to be more socially responsible.

No need to change your cam to change the exhaust. Cam timing is more related to compression. You did not mention if the bike was FI or carb. Either way it will need to be retuned. There are slip ons that you can use with stock head pipes that will be much quieter without totally sacrificing performance. You would probably increase your performance if you had your heads ported to match the cam you have, even with quieter exhaust. Depending on who does the heads and if you do your own work, cost may not be much different than changing a cam out either.

Thanks for the info. Its fuel injected, with a TVII installed. I've got a stock exhaust on hand- just waiting for the O2 bung to come in so i can get it welded on and then get the exhaust coated black.

Someday I'll redo the whole engine (ported heads, lower comp pistons with cam to match, etc) but right now I'm having to do this on the cheap because my wife's in school and I can't afford to get too crazy. I just wanted to quiet the bike down right now, and I'm glad it doesn't involve too much expense.

And I'm damn glad this forum is around.
