Post Upgrading 2010 Touring from 96ci to 103ci

Hello All,

Currently my touring bike is stock except SE hi flow intake, V&H pro pipe 2 into 1 exhaust, and TTS Mastertune. I ride 2 up most of the time with my wife. I want more tq and hp. I desire upgrading my bike to 103ci. I'm thinking I'll have my dealer do it and either just do the 103ci kit w/o cams or the 103ci stage II kit that includes SE-255 cams. First question, I sure would like to know the lift and duration on the stock cams. Second question, is there much of a difference between the stock cams vs the SE-255 cams, are the SE-255 cams worth the extra expense? Third question, is there a better aftermarket cam out there that can be suggested where I would just have all the work done at the custom shop? After the bike is done, I will take it back to the dyno shop Thanks in advance for all advice and wisdom out there...

255 cam is a must but why not do a 107 from Hillsides or fuelmoto. Lot better #'s than the 103 with stock cam. You would be pushing 120 ft lb's with a 106-107.

.484" intake and exhaust; don't know duration but probably about 220*. The problem with the OEM cams is that they are designed to meet EPA requirements and have no overlap.

Absolutely; major improvement.

Depends. Sounds like you are just looking for a little more punch. The touring model carry an extra 200 pounds; you ride two up most of the time, probably fairly loaded, so, so what you really need is torque; horsepower not so much. Unless you are hell bent on increasing displacement, you might consider a cam only upgrade. There are aftermarket cams that might be a better choice but the 255 is a torque monster to 4000rpms and might be just what you need. If not, you can always go back and increase displacement to 103".
