Default Vance & Hines Straightshots for Fat Boy

Wondering about opinions. I am drooling at the idea of getting V&H Straightshots on my 2010 Fat Boy. Does anyone have them and can comment on them? Recommend or not? Review?

I'm sure there will be dozens of riders willing to give their opinions on other good pipes, as well. I am dealing with cost, too. So, the more expensive pipes are out....completely. Appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Default V&H Straight Shots

I have had 6 different sets of exhaust on my Train in the last 4 years. I buy them, try them, and sell them. Just curious how they sound on MY bike, not yours. Engine mods makes a difference as does many other things.
I have a set of Straightshots on mine right now. I like them just fine. I have had Big Radius, Short Shots, Pro Pipe, and others. I just sold the V&H Pro Pipe 2-1 recently. Honestly, the best sounding exhaust I have ever had on a Harley that had the potato potato sound we all love, was a set of D&D drag pipes with the stock baffles. It always got a lot of attention at any Harley get together. I still have them in the shop. just my 2 cents. My opinion is worth just exactly what I charged you for it.

Thanks Ron. Appreciate your giving me that two cents. At least you have had many different types of pipes to gain experience from. I haven't had any aftermarket sets, yet. Will look at the D&D pipes. Ohhh, the options!

If leaning in the direction of more, later, then those pipes won't do you any favors.
Nothing more that 1 3/4" tubing, covered with a heat sheild.
FWIW, Cycle Shack slip-on mufflers will out-power those.
