Default valve to piston clearance [ valve reliefs ]

Hi guys,
I have a question , I have a set of heads that are decked to 80cc with a 1.9 intake valve and a .030 hg = .035-.040 off heads including gasket for 9.8 comp. They were on a 95 inch twin cam that had andrews 37g with se flat top cast pistons. They didnt have to open up valve reliefs and had know clearance issues. The intake tdc lift on the cam .174.Now these heads are going on a different motor with new 95 inch se flat tops but the cams will be different Mackie 510g has a intake tdc lift of .194 What do you think good to go or clay it.

Always check; probably OK but don't take anything for granted. Additionally, the valve reliefs locations will vary slightly from one set of OEM pistons to the next; always check. It's not the depth of the valve relilef that's the problem; it's the larger intake/exhaust valve that could come in contact with the piston.
