XL1200 First mods
Hey all calling for a head check and if needed a point in the right direction.
I have an XL1200 48. This will be the first messing with her and I am looking at fitting:
Rush full system Shorty Sporty full (Black/ ceramic)
Power commander 5
Kuryakyn Hypercharger / or just go K&N heavy breather
As I would find it hard to fund all this in one go, would it be ok to fit in this order, or do I need the Power commander first?
cheers all

Hi Smudge, from just down the M6/M1!
You are moving into a grey area, modifying your bike. Changes like that will adversely affect your fuelling, making the bike leaner and possibly run poorly, so you should budget for adding a tuning device of some sort. I suggest that if you are on a modest budget that you buy the parts as you can afford them, but don't fit them until you have the complete set. Then fit and get tuned once, rather than several times!
I strongly recommend you talk to your dealer or a local indy. There are many tuning devices out there, but if you are going to depend on getting local technical support, buy something they recommend and can support. There is no point buying the 'best' tuner, then finding nobody nearby will touch it!
