Any Numbers for 113ci 2-2 vs 2-1 exhaust?
Hey Guys,
I have done a lot of searching , and I know that a 2 into 1 is a way better performing exhaust than 2 into 2. I have an SMW 113ci engine, and i currently have my old V&H straight shots on it. My question is, how much worse is a 2 into 2 vs 2 into1? Does anyone have numbers? Having spent $4800 on a new motor, i need to hold of an a new exhaust for a bit, atleast till its broken in. Thanks for the help guys.

You should ask SMW for their recommendations as I'm sure they will be able to give you very specific answers. I have a 107" and have run true duals and a 2-into-1. I assume by 2 into 2 you mean separate pipes? If so what you will find is that they will give similar power to a 2-into-1, but the 2-into-1 will give better low/mid range torque, where most of us ride.
I would guess your 113 will be fine whatever you put on it, as it will have plenty of performance, but if you are looking for a new exhaust system to get the best out of it get a 2-into-1. My sigpic shows my SuperTrapp Supermeg. I think you will find SuperTrapp make 2-into-1s for all models.
An unexpected bonus I found is that my bike now runs much smoother and sweeter than before, as well as pulling much better from low rpms. With both systems I had my bike set up on the dyno by the same tuning shop.
