How many miles will the average 103 engine last, when taken care of per the service manual, before needing a rebuild?

Can I realistically expect 150K miles out of a stage 1 modded 103 engine.

 

With a stage 1 and proper maintenance should go to 200k. Almost the same as the 96" except for the jugs. Im at 114k and runnin like a top. Doesnt burn oil either.

Hard to say really. A lifter could go at 7,000 miles. Or not.

For every one that has a problem there may be 10 that do not. Or, for every one that does not have a problem there may be 10 that do.

None of my 6 Harley's have been trouble free, but only one has left me stranded and required a tow and top end rebuild.

 

Sure, just take care of the mechanical issues that can happen.

 

Just do your schedule maintenance.....
