Default Screamin Eagle II Slip On Baffles

I recently bought a 2000 Low Rider that has a set of Screamin' Eagle II mufflers on it. After i got it home, i noticed that it has no baffle in the rear muffler and a baffle in the front one. My guess is that someone tried to get the baffles out and wasn't able to get the front one out. The exhaust note sounds kind of "tinny", i'd guess due to no baffle in the rear muffler. The bike doesnt seem to run bad due to this but i'd like to have balanced back pressure on the engine.

I checked with my local HD dealer and they told me that you can't buy the replacement baffles anymore. Big City Thunder makes a set that will fit in there for ~$130. These would work provided i can get the front one out without damaging the muffler itself. Would I be better off just scrapping these and getting a new set of slip ons? Any suggestions for new ones or other solutions to this? Thanks in advance.

Those BCT baffles are a bit spendy. I have the same mufflers and got rid of the baffles. Replaced them with DK Customs TTI's (thunder torque inserts). They will cost around $30 shipped and are easy to install. And best of all for me, the bike runs better than it ever has.

Thanks for the reply, Nevil. I found a thread that referenced the TTIs after I posted earlier and did some reading on them and I'm leaning towards the TTIs. I found lots of good reviews on these and the price is right.

Which size did you get? Did you get the "Wave" insert?
