Hello everyone i need a bit of your expertise here im really considering pulling the trigger on this ultima 131 from jireh cycles! my concern is how different if any are they from the 127's out there? Ive read and heard good and bad about ultima motors!! im looking to do some headwork, change the cam if needed, change the carb to a S&S D carb,bump up the compression,and throw it all in my baby a 1998 roadglide. Is there anything else i should be concerned about? Any engine builders in so. cal that i can send this motor to? HELP ME OUT

 

I'm tempted to ask what extra you want of a 131, over a crate motor that big?! If you are prepared to go to those lengths I suggest you find an engine supplier who can build you a tuned 131" from the ground up, rather than buying a motor in a crate then pulling it apart.

I don't think you will find much on HDF about motors that big. Use 'search' and enter '131' to see what results you get, to see if that brings up anything helpful.

 

Well actually the ultima 131 can be had for 3599.00 right now and it would cost me a whole lot more to build one from the ground up! Also i love to go fast and im prepared to pay the cost to do so,and im also a fan of the UNDERDOG that's why i chose ultima.Thanks for your reply

 

Get a 120" and throw a turbo on it if you got the go fast bug...

 

Never thought of that that might just be an option..... i definitely have the FAST BUG!

 

There is a section for blown, nitros, and hacked bikes. Get some opinions there. There are some major power players in there.

There are several sponsors who build engines, so it might also be worth contacting them for suggestions on how best to build your time machine!
