Default 103 cam

I keep hearing that the 103's are "cammed" from the factory. Is this true? And what cam does it compare to if it is?
OR, is it "just a factory" cam with no added benefits, requiring an after market improvment?

I think quite the contrary - they are more likely smogged for low emissions - l notice Andrews has all 07 - 12 engines listed with 20 degrees less intake duration than the earlier twin cams. Maybe gives it a torquey feel right off idle but is sure to run out of breath at 4500 rpm. I am trying to decide on what cam to put in my 2012 RGC - looks like the Andrews 57 or SE255 will be my choice. I don't rev my bike much past 4500 usually but I'd like another 20 ft lbs of torque at 2500-3000 rpm.

Default hmmm

My 2012 103 has only stage one with SE slipons and while I dont go beyond 4k much at all, I can tell you it is still going strong when I do ask it to. There have been a couple times ive taken it to 5k and it never felt like it was running outta steam.

That is one reason for my question, along with a couple people I ride with saying they came cammed somewhat from the factory.

I dont want to spend a ton of cash for things if I dont need to and the return isnt worth the expense.

Just sayin

No same cam as a 96", unless it is a cvo then a 255.

A plug/play cam that WILL GREATLY enhance the power in that 103"er, is the Wood 222.
