Default Rinehart 4" Slip-Ons

I'm thinking about putting the Rinehart 4" Slip-Ons on my new 2013 Road King and leaving the AC and head pipes stock. Does anyone know why Rinehart makes the following statement on their web site: "Do not adjust stock ECU settings with Rinehart slip-ons on 2009-2012 H-D Touring models with stock head pipes." I was just wondering why.

Let me rephrase this question. Has anyone installed the 4" Rinehart's and not touched the ECM? Did they have any effect on how the bike ran?

You can run them with no tuner but a tuner will cure the lean hot condition
