Default outer cam sprockets different between TC88 & TC96?

reason I ask is as a mate has the small cam locking tool that you fit inbetween the sprockets to undo the bolts for his 88 but I need one soon for my 96.
will the tool fit both or do I need one specially for the TC96?

The chain and sproket is different. Silent chain vs. roller chain. Different tool.
Stand (push) on brake and loosen/tighten.
