I have a 71' 883 ironhead that leaks oil from the generator. it's only a few drops , and happens after a ride. I first noticed some foamy white drops from the breather tube when I got it started for the first time in 25yrs. of storage(changed the tranny and engine oil twice for possible water contamination -no more white foam), but now oil seems to be coming out of the brush end of the genny and sporadically out of the breather tube. I checked for leakage at the engine case end ,but that side is dry. This bike was previously owned by a moron who must've had left over parts whenever he "worked" on it , as I've found things like the clutch adjustment nut retainer clips retaining the nuts to hold the clips ,using the adjustment nuts to retain them. (Confusing? just picture the clips being off by one ).
Anyway , could this leakage be the oil carry over I read about in this forum?
