Ok one minute purring like a kitty next minute dead. Is that normal for S&S motors?

I've had 3 other HD bikes never motor issue first S&S and motor went south gonna cost me $$$. What experience have you had?

 

Jim you're beating this to death with multiple different posts...Refresh the one thread with djl, or PM him directly. He knows what he's tallking about. We're all reading all the same stuff. (And no, its not normal for S&S motors.)

If I had the cash I would get the S&S every day of the week

 

Mine is fine several years after I installed it. Get yours fixed! Is it still under warranty?

 

You said it had set for a while just needed checked good before riding,i have seen brand new motors blow up breaking them in anything can happen

 

You bought a bike that had sat for 5 years. There may have been a reason the previous owner let it sit for 5 years. You bought it and rode it for 2 weeks and it died. It sucks but what steps did you take to insure the bikes soundness before riding it after it sat for so long. S&S is excellent stuff, btw.
