Default Help and Flathead parts needed :)

Hello from Greece!

I have recently acquired the remnants of a '31 VL, and would like to start a long task of restoring the bike to its original condition with all original parts.

As you will see from the attached photo, quite a lot of work is needed and I would thus like to ask for any of you who have worked on flatheads previously, to please contribute any useful information (including restoration tips, part sourcing, etc)

I am quite realistic and know that restoration will probably take years, but a good headstart is all I need!

Thank you all in advance,

John

John-

Nice rare find.. For New Old stock parts, www.jwboon.com

And there is a VL specialist over your way, Steve @ www.VLheaven.com that's all he does..

I think Steve may have Manual for your project as well..

Keep me posted, I always enjoy knowing another Hd has been rescued....

When this company was in previous owner it was good source of flathead parts, now it's owned by S&S
http://www.flatheadpower.com/

They were manufacturing flathead parts from better materials and with CNC machines.

Service literature=P/N 99404-93, Parts Listing for 1909-1932, available from the dealer may be of help in identifying parts and construction.
