Classifieds posts?
Hey all. I'm a brand new member with some parts to sell. I'm not able to post in the classifieds section, any idea why? Do I have to buy in or something? Thanks!

You did read the "rules/restrictions/qualifications" when you signed up, right? It's all explained very clearly.

It's in the Forum Rules #7...
The Free HDForums Classified Sections are provided to active HDF Members only. We are not interested in competing with Craig's List or Ebay. To be considered an "active" HDF Member you have to have been registered for at least 30 days and have a minimum of 5 posts. If you attempt to post in the Classified Sections prior to meeting the above criteria you will receive an error message telling you that you do not have posting privileges in those sections.

whatever happened to needing to post 5 or more replies to an existing thread before being able to start a thread complaining about not following the rules?

No such rule, Canuck.
To the OP. As per the HD Forums rules you were required to read and agree to when you joined, you need to have 5 posts and be a member for 30 days before you can post any sort of ad.

Since I didn't see anybody else mention this, if you were able to find the Classified area of this forum, the requirements for posting in that section were written just above that section.
