From what I understand, as long as I keep any pictures I post here in my Photo Bucket, it'll stay here.

Sorry for the late answer.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse but it seems to me it would be better if the HDFORUM embedded the picture in it's own site so it would never disappear because now, we're back to the beginning when I said a lot of pictures won't open! Haha (I guess maybe I was asking if 'insert image' would do it this permanent way.)

I can only guess that since the picture is the property of the owner and if HDF embedded them, that'd be too much like them taking the pictures as theirs. But I agree...it sucks to go to where some pictures are being posted, only to find that they're missing.

I for one, clean up photobucket once a year and kill year old photos. Many threads go back 10 or more years. Old photos don't do it for me so when I hit "blank" photo, I figure I've gone back far enough. You make one rule and you will make a handful of people happy and the rest will play elsewhere. Though I agree, if you quote a post the photo gets carried forward, and forward, and forward. Most do not take the time to clean up a quote.Too bad a post quote with a photo could not be automatically made a thumbnail. But if the rule becomes, I must leave photos in my photobucket for years and years to accommodate some rule about posting photos, I just will stop posting photos. Easy. Then maybe, I'll look for riders who feel the same way.

No need to make it smaller. The image size varies with the window's size.
