Default Should we standardize a way to post pictures?

I got a new Night Train a few months ago and have been on this site a lot more lately looking at pictures getting ideas. But I've noticed many of the links are dead, many of the thumbnails don't open, etc and thought maybe we could standardize the best way to post pictures? I know when I embed the copied link called "IMG" from PhotoBucket seems to work well but I don't know how long or if there is a better way. Anyone else on board with this idea? (or maybe you could explain to me why many of the thumbnails won't open?)

A picture you post from Photobucket will stay as long as it's still in PhotoBucket. If you delete it, the picture on the forum goes away as it's linked to the PhotoBucket picture.

If I have a picture on my phone I want to post, I send it to my email. Then I download it to my computer. Then browse computer and insert picture. No need to use photobucket or any other storage programs. I also never post thumbnails.

I'd rather see a prohibition on quoting them.

Maybe this is my problem. Should I be using the attachment (paper clip) or insert an image URL? How do you get URLs for your picture? Then if you delete or move that picture from your computer it will no longer be on the site or does it embed forever? Again, which is the best way?

I use Photo Bucket, then to my iPad. Then I use the yellow square, wither the mountain in it, above this box in typing in. It's asks to "browse your device" and insert it and post it. Easy.

I think this is the way I'll do it from now on... BUT, Will that pic stay in this site forever or if you move it will it no longer appear? In other words why do a lot of pictures say "can not find image?"

Left photobucket and switched to Flicker. Lot of ways to do it. I am strongly against forcing a one way approach.

I'm not trying to force a way, simply want the way that will stay on the site the longest. As I keep saying many pictures say they can't find the image and a lot of thumbnails won't open.

Many times people take them down. If you just use the sights upload they come directly from your computer.
