Changed lines on my front brakes of my 05 RK classic. Followed instructions to bleed the air out, but obviously didn't get the job done.
When I hit the front brakes hard brake handle seems to surge and brakes grab intermittently. What have i done wrong??

I had similar symptoms on my bike this spring and it turned out to be a warped rotor. Was not seen by eye, but I threw an indicator on it and it was very noticeable. Anyway, a new rotor fixed the problem.

 

Sounds like warped rotors too me also since you feel it through the lever. What type of line did you install, stainless braided, stock rubber? You could try zip tying the lever with the m/c cover off and let it sit for 24 hrs or so. That will allow any air bubble to travel up and out and see if it gets any better.

 

Thanks i will check out the rotor and try to see if i can bleed out any air out of the lines also.

Stock rotors are notorious for warping.
