Default Novice mechanic - when to use loctite

I'll be installing a fender kit and springer seat on my 2013 slim. I'm always nervous a bolt or screw will come loose, so I want to put loctite on all screws. Is this ok to do? Any disadvantages?

I use it on nearly everything I take apart on the bike. Generally I use blue, but on smaller fasteners I will use the green. I don't not use the red stuff when the manual calls for it specifically.

Locate is your friend. On peices that you'll be removing often just a little dab of blue will do ya. Everything that comes into contact with the motor make sure all threads get locktite. When using this stuff is important to make sure your hardware is good Shape. Good threads and good heads it will take some torque to remove bolts with that stuff on them.

Just don't use it on your spark plugs
