My CVO has ABS brakes and the front are annoying. They pulsate under any break application. Really bad under light application when coming to a gradual stop there is lots of nose dive and also clunks under initial application almost every time. Dealer says this is normal,I dont buy it! Have put 1200 mi on bike since I bought it 4 weeks ago. However I have had to brake from hiway speeds and it stops pretty quick. Any advice,I need ammo to go back to the dealership with. Thanks!!!

Sounds like warped rotors to me. The floating rotors will give a little click when applied. At least mine do. Nose dive can be corrected with heavier fork oil. When the ABS kicks in you know it with a lot of growling noise form the ABS unit. Try to lock the rear brakes and you will learn what the ABS unit sounds like.

Like ohioflhs said. Sounds like warped rotors. Have gone thru 3 sets on my 08 CVO RK.
No rhyme or reason given to me as to why. The after market for a rotor to fit your rim is non existent due to the way it attaches to the roadwinder wheel. So far on my 3rd. set all is ok. Its been about 3.000 miles so we shall see. Good luck.

I'm running Road Winder wheels without ABS. I installed EBC rotors & pads, and no longer getting the pulsating, clanking sounds when using the front brake.
VROD wheels have the same rotor bolt pattern. Lyndall Racing Brakes also has rotors that fit.

Again thanks for the advice. Rode tonight and it is worse, like a hopping rabbit when I apply the front brakes. It like the ABS is grabbing too hard then releasing. I hit the rear brake hard and it stops smoothly without using the front brakes. Can I disconnect the ABS and still have brakes? If so how do I disconnet the system?

I recommend you sort the ABS out, rather than abort and try disconnecting it! Yours isn't the only bike having problems, but the vast majority are probably fine. I've just bought EBC rotors for both ends of my own non-ABS bike and they are an economical good quality product, available for your bike as Dan says. Your dealer needs a good sorting out it is true, but if you want to gain control of the problem, swap rotors.
