Default FL speedometer drive location

I've got a 95 FLSTN with the speedo drive on the RH side and the speedo has no cable at this time. Everything I find during research on the bike shows the speedo drive on the LH side with the rotor and brake caliper.

Not sure if I have the original front end so I'm looking for input.
